energy oat ballsThese little balls of yum, are full of so much more!  A great mix of carbs and fat with a little protein.  This makes for a great make ahead snack that you can grab and go on your busiest mornings or a pre-workout snack.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Place the ingredients into a bowl

 

 

Mix it all together then place in fridge for 15 minutes

These little balls of yum, are full of so much more!  A great mix of carbs and fat with a little protein.  This makes for a great make ahead snack that you can grab and go on your busiest mornings or a pre-workout snack. 

 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seed
  • 1/2 cup almond butter (or other healthy nut butter)
  • 3-4 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin/sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp dried cherries (or other dried fruit)

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl, mix until well combined.  If the mixture seems a little dry add a bit more honey.
  2. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  3. Roll the mixture into 12 balls.
  4. Keep in the fridge up to 5 days (good luck you may want to eat them all in one seating)
